Founder & CEO: Haresh Rane
Haresh Rane is the visionary founder and CEO of Embarkus, with nearly 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship. Before founding Embarkus, Haresh successfully established and continues to operate both an IT services company and a property business. His goal with Embarkus is to improve the quality of domiciliary care for the elderly through the adoption of the latest technology and best practices. Haresh has a passion for innovation and is committed to integrating cutting-edge solutions like wearable devices and AI to enhance care delivery. He believes in taking risks and seeing beyond the present to create meaningful change in the home-based care sector. Haresh’s vision and leadership have guided the creation of Embarkus, where he has brought together a team of industry leaders to execute on his mission.
Chairman: Mark Garius, B.Sc. (Hons)
Mark Garius is a highly experienced executive professional with a career spanning four decades and multiple C-Suite roles in both large and small enterprises. He has personally delivered 30 acquisitions across four businesses, with deep expertise in M&A preparation, fundraising, transacting, and integrating businesses. Mark’s ethos is to work collaboratively with acquired business owners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. He currently serves as Chairman of Celebrate Life Group Ltd, a company focused on acquiring funeral businesses in southern England, and as a Non-Executive Director at Prosell Learning Ltd, a global skills development consultancy. Additionally, Mark has supported Automated Systems Group Ltd as an M&A Consultant after leading 14 acquisitions for the company.
CFO: Conor Gleeson
Conor Gleeson is a global finance leader with over 20 years of experience driving growth and transformation across SaaS, professional services, and technology sectors. Known for his entrepreneurial approach and ability to look beyond the numbers, Conor has successfully led finance operations for startups, PE-backed companies, and multinational corporations through periods of significant growth, M&A activity, and strategic exits.
Throughout his career, Conor has demonstrated expertise in financial stewardship, M&A execution, operational excellence, and strategic business partnerships. He has been involved in over $1.2B in M&A transaction value, spanning both buy-side and sell-side activities.
Conor holds a finance degree from Limerick University, Ireland, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Accounting Director: David Thomas, B.Eng., ACA
David is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England Wales (ICAEW) having qualified with Ernst & Young, London. He has been working in Accounting, Finance and Banking for 35 years since completing his degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Southampton.
Roles have included Director, Financial and IT audit, Corporate actions, Due diligence, Compliance, Risk and Consultancy to a broad range of medium to large enterprises. These have included J.P. Morgan, Barclays, UBS, Royal Bank of Scotland and London Stock Exchange.
Recently David has focussed on leading the implementation of Information Technology (IT) and process-based projects with significant cultural change, for example, implementing a third-party accounting system to standardise processes, reduce costs of maintenance and the inherent risks of over reliance of in-house IT. He still enjoys contributing to the “real work” as there are always new and interesting facets to understand and learn.
